Join me next Friday for another wonderful drink.

One of the many reasons I like to travel is to try drinks from the area. Almost every country you go to has a signature drink. So, I decided we should explore these scrumptious drinks (alcohol and alcohol free) for ourselves at home. Each Friday I’ll introduce a different country and their drink.

This week we are headed to the beautiful Islands of the Bahamas. Did you know that there are 16 islands that make up this gorgeous area? The pristine beaches, where you can swim with the pigs on The Exumas Cays, fish for blue marlin, the natural wonder of the Blue holes, snorkeling, scuba diving, the food and the beautiful people of The Bahamas.

It’s probably not a surprise that our drink of the week is:

The Bahama Mama.

Ingredients

1 cup of ice cubes
6 fluid ounces of pineapple juice
1 jigger of spiced rum
1 cup of lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the pineapple juice and spiced rum. Top off with enough lemon-lime soda to fill the glass. You can also blend your drink to make it really slushy.

I’ve been to the Bahamas twice and have enjoyed every minute of it. If The Bahamas interests you with by plane or cruise ship,
